The Wazihub Bootcamp In Tanzania took place on the 8th October 2018 through to 11th October 2018. Buni Hub organized a a four (4) days Wazihub IoT Bootcamp aiming at building capacity of participant in IoT, applying design and creating innovations solving crucial societal challenges.

Participants were also introduced to the Waziup IoT platform, an European Union funded IoT and Big Data open cloud platform. The main objectives of this program was to train and equip more people with skills in the field of IoT, support and give rise to IoT related startups.

In attendance where 59 participants including developers and students who want to transform the African communities by applying IoT technology.

Some of the highlights of the day included orientation of the participants and introductory training sessions of what IoT and Big data technology is and what it can do. The teams went ahead to brainstorm on how to apply Waziup IoT technology to their innovations to make it smart and easily used by various target users in their communities The fourth and last day was crowned with a pitching session to which various teams with viable solutions were selected to join the WAZIHUB prototyping and growth hack phase and will get the opportunity to access technical/Business incubation support and seed funding.
